College Years

This morning I (along with the entire city) was awoken by the biggest flippin' thunderstorm I've ever heard. Since I was on the top floor of a townhouse, there was a panicky moment when I suddenly woke up and didn't know why and OH GOD WHAT IS THAT SOUND AAAAAAAAAAAoh it's thunderAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!
But that meant that I was awake an hour before I usually was, so I'M UPLOADING THIS LITTLE DOOBELYDOO. YAY ANACHRONISTICNESS.

I didn't decide they were in college until after I drew it. There was this little shithead at work, and you could tell he had no idea how douchey he actually was. It's just like DUDE, YOU'RE IN MIDDLE SCHOOL. I WILL RIP OFF YOUR FACE AND SHOVE IT UP YOUR ASS, YOU LITTLE NOOKSNIFFER.
Karkat had a bit of influence.

Anyways, this is maybe mid-freshman/sophomore year for them, and THEY'RE STILL GOING STRONG. They didn't go to the same school, conflicting interests and all that, but they are in the city and they regularly meet up for hot chocolate. They always meet on Saturday mornings, but sometimes Sammy'll just call him up and go like "AKJSDKJFASKLJFD YOU'LL NEVER GUESS WHAT HAPPENED GOTTA TELL YOU REGULAR PLACE GO!", and there are moments when Nate calls her up because "all these people keep coming up to me with their problems, and I really don't know how to help but they're convinced I hold the secret to solving everyone's problems."
Actually, if this is sophomore year, Nate has met his future wife. When they were like seven Nate promised Sammy that is she was alone by 30, then they'd get married. When Sammy pointed out that Nate might find someone, Nate made an addendum: if he found someone he wanted to marry he wouldn't get married until she did. It's semi-serious at the moment, but she isn't strung up about it and will constantly make fun of the whole arrangement in good nature.
Okay they're sophomores.
